Software
selectable on board compression rates
Compressing
voice files is a necessity for voice recorder systems. Compressed files will
let you save significant amount of disk space while maintaining the quality
of the recording. Unlike software based compression systems, DSP (Digital
Signal Processor) based on board compression technology offers considerable
advantages. With on board compression your computer resources will not be
used while still maintaining the acceptable sound quality. AudioRec lets you
select latest Wav formatted compression rates between 128 Kbps and 8 Kbps.
Software selectable compression rates can be applied to each channel
separately or at once with ease. Below is a table of supported rates and
other helpful information for calculating the necessary disk space for
single channel.
